About

The African Caribbean Student Association is an organization for African and Caribbean Faculty, Alumni, Students and Friends of the University of Mississippi. The purpose of the organization is to address issues affecting African and Caribbean students and to facilitate cultural diversity, awareness and social interaction at the University of Mississippi.

Mission

The mission and objectives of this association are:

To educate, inform, and provide compelling information to members and non-members.
To inspire civic pride with regard to cultural and social activities in the Caribbean and African communities.
To promote cultural awareness in our children so that they will understand and appreciate their own culture in its totality.
To promote a sense of continued harmony and camaraderie among African and Caribbean people.
To provide support and assistance where possible to members and people of African and Caribbean descent.
